A user experience leader with over 10 years of experience launching products and creating immersive digital experiences. Currently working a senior product designer at Facebook, and previously also worked at Amazon, Microsoft and various design agencies. Has mentored 100's of UX'ers, lectured at Universities across the world, and is the founder/curator of the UX Career Support group.
Calvin Nguyen
CV: Ozette, Amazon, MedAssets
Calvin has been designing for 20+ years, and is currently the Head of Design at Ozette- a med-tech startup focused on immunology. During his 10+ years at Amazon he launched some of Amazon’s most audacious initiatives including Alexa, Amazon Key, Amazon Go, and India. Calvin hired me and was my boss when I first started at Amazon, and to this day remains one of my dearest of mentors.

Why do you do these group sessions?
Mentoring others is important to me. However, I get dozens of requests for 1:1 coffee chats weekly, and I simply can't accept them all- these group sessions allow for anyone to get answers to common design career questions.
Where do your guests come from?
I have know and/or have worked with every guest personally. I only bring on guests that I personally know are subject-matter-experts on the subject at hand.
I can't make the next event, but I'm really interested in the content! Can I still watch it later?
We post recordings to the ux designer support group after every session. I have plans to create more consumable bite size clips of highlights in the future.
